Atlantis

As soon as I created this theme and applied it to my site, I began to get requests to release it to the general public. I held off because I really wanted to keep it unique for the duration I was using it. Well, now it’s available. Atlantis is a dark, modern theme with bold colors.

What really sets Atlantis apart from many other themes is the ability to easily change the color scheme, and even mix color schemes throughout your site. You can see in the screenshot below that you can have different colors for different pages, if you wish.

(click here if the above screenshot does not display correctly in your browser)

You can read all about installing and using the customizing features of the theme in the README file (also included in the ZIP download). Click here to see this theme in action on my site. Use the Theme Selector in the sidebar on the home page or click here to switch back to my default theme (Athens).

Atlantis 1.1 requires Wordpress 2.1. If you have Wordpress 2.0.x, download Atlantis 1.01.

Download Atlantis v1.1 (166KB .zip)

Please read the README file carefully and if you have any questions or encounter any issues, post them in the comments form below. Thank you, and enjoy!

Version history:
2006-03-28: Version 1.1. Now compatible with Wordpress 2.1.
2006-11-01: Version 1.01. Fixed minor issue with coloring of non-href text in sidebar.

Jay,

This theme was made before widgets were a feature in Wordpress. You can still add any plugin you want manually, which is how it was always done before widgets. If I have the time, I may go back and modify my themes to be widget-compatible, but I’m pretty busy so I can’t give a time frame on that. :)

Ah, I get it. Thanks, how would I go about and add it manually? In the sidebar section?

and I can’t seem to figure out how to get my pages up at the top like the preview has, and how to change the color of them..

Jay,

Most plugins still have instructions on how to add them non-widget style. It’s pretty easy.

As for the colors, it’s all explained in the readme file I included.
