Design Services

The Internet is the largest storefront in the world, and the fastest and cheapest way to communicate with a vast number of people. There are two critical facets of web design: the back-end technology and the end-user experience. There are a lot of people out there who call themselves web site designers, but who only really understand one of those two essential elements. I have spent my entire professional life working on both aspects.

I offer contract web design services for individuals and businesses, and have years of experience creating unique and easy-to-use web sites. I have also designed complex systems such as the TRAMS ticket and network management system for Purdue University, that tracks tens of thousands of tickets, 12,000 network connections, manages a knowledge base, facilitates Help Desk operations, and much more. Whatever your needs, I will work with you personally to find the right balance for both technology and design so you can reach your audience.

A sample of a few sites I have designed:
Note: some of these sites have since been modified by their owners. I am not responsible for the content on these web sites.

Silistix.com

Silistix is an up-and-coming Silicon Valley company that needed a site to attract investors to their impressive new technology. They wanted the site to emphasize their “chain” theme, as well as provide easy access to technical details and white papers.

Koorsen Manufacturing, Inc.

A construction company in Iowa with a one-of-a-kind patented product. They needed to have a basic presence on the web to help potential customers learn about their product without having to mail brochures.

Purdue Knowledge Base

Purdue University needed an online knowledge repository for the Information Technology and Residential Network (ResNet) departments. The administrative interface for this system is not accessible by the public, but is a highly complex group collaboration tool that has been tailored to the university’s needs.

HGA Group, Inc.

A midwestern foodservice company that needed a way to connect with their clients online. Videos, online brochures, and accessory order forms can all be accessed from their site.

I am currently in the process of launching the new Purdue Knowledge Management System, a massive collaborative knowledge management tool that will be utilized by many departments to collect and publish their knowledge online. Screenshots of the administrative interface and workflow details will come soon.
