Portfolio

I focus on what ultimately makes or breaks your site: the user experience.

I offer contract web design services for individuals and businesses, and have years of experience creating attractive and easy-to-use web sites. I’m an expert in CSS and web user interface principles.

More than just a pretty face? Absolutely. I have designed complex data systems such as the TRAMS ticket and network management system for Purdue University, that tracks tens of thousands of tickets, 12,000 network connections, manages a knowledge base, facilitates Help Desk operations, and much more. Whatever your needs, I will work with you personally to find the right balance of both technology and design to reach your audience.

Examples

Note: some of these sites have since been modified by their owners. I am not responsible for the content on these web sites.

IndyStar.com

The largest news site in Indiana got redesigned in early 2008. I worked on many elements of the user interface and wrote much of the CSS and javascript that make the site what it is. The whole project was a huge integration challenge because of corporate requirements and third-party partnerships that necessitated some tricky workarounds.

Purdue Knowledge Base

Purdue University needed an online knowledge repository for the Information Technology and Residential Network (ResNet) departments. The administrative interface for this system is not accessible by the public, but is a highly complex group collaboration tool that has been tailored to the university’s needs.

HGA Group, Inc.

A midwestern foodservice company that needed a way to connect with their clients online. Videos, online brochures, and accessory order forms can all be accessed from their site.

Koorsen Manufacturing, Inc.

A construction company in Iowa with a one-of-a-kind patented product. They needed to have a basic presence on the web to help potential customers learn about their product without having to mail brochures.
