Riverbend #8 is no more

Today we moved the last of our things out of good old Riverbend #8, where we have been holed up for the last three years. The place is completely empty now, every last corner of every closet is vacant and every wall is bare. We turn in our keys tomorrow by noon. We had a lot of fun there over the last few years, and a lot of people passed through those doors for parties, dinners, football games, and movies. It was our first real home away from home. Even though the trucks were loud at night, the river sometimes stank up the area, and the air conditioning could never quite cool the second floor, we’re really going to miss it.

    Even though I was only around the ‘Bend with you guys for one year before we kinda got forced out, it always made me feel better that at least you were able to make it work and stay there. Everything’s changing, eh? Enjoy new apt for the short time you’ll have it!
