Major Google Talk updates!

Google Talk just got some major new features: file transfer, voice mail, and music status. While every chat network has file transfer, voice mail and music status are pretty unique. The voice mail works with GTalk’s calling feature and is pretty much what you’d expect — nice if you want to leave a verbal message for someone instead of a written one. The music status feature can grab the name of the song you’re listening to (I’m presuming from all the major players, like iTunes, Windows Media Player, and Winamp, although I haven’t tested it) and set it as your status so your friends can see what you’re into at the moment. If you use Google Talk at all, go download the new one.
