This is truly amazing: a scale model of an atom, with the smallest component (an electron) being represented as a single pixel on your screen. The electron is so far from the center of the atom (the “large” proton that’s 1000 pixels) that the web page is 11 miles wide. It really helps you realize that atoms are mostly empty space.
I dare someone to scroll though it manually, by just clicking the right arrow. Let me know how long it takes you to go 11 miles.
