Implants let the blind see

In an amazing feat of medical science, a surgeon has connected a miniature camera to a blind woman’s optic nerves, allowing her to see in a rudimentary fasion. This could be the beginning of devices such as Geordi’s VISOR — but it also could make her the first Borg.
